Psychology degree? I think this is what I want to do...?

So, Im so tired of deciding what I want to do with a career. I just want to do something that Im am interested in. My end goal is to teach at a community college or at an online college. My mom teaches for Kaplan, and it's great. Anyway, I do not plan on stopping after my bachelor degree, and I plan on continuing to get my masters, and then maybe a doctorate. I am sort of interested in being a school social worker. How does that work? My aunt has a psychology degree and works as one, and I think she likes it. If I did decide to stop after my bachelor degree for a while, is there a chance I would be able to find a job somewhere? What does the pay look like? Im not in it for the money, but I don't want to work for free either?

  1. I think taking classes online is a great solution for you in your situation. I would recommend making sure that any college you consider is regionally accredited and that you contact several schools to be able to compare them and find the best fit for you and your needs. Be sure to ask them about tuition, schedule requirements, professor interaction, reputation by potential employers and possibilities for advanced study after graduation. This site has some good information on regionally accredited online bachelors programs in psychology: http://www.ecollegefinder.org/bachelors-degree-general-psychology.aspx Good Luck!
