What are the majore major disadvantages of Distance learning?
Hi there,
I intend to soon join an online college but was wondering if there are any disadvantages to distance learning classes I should be aware of before I join.
Thanks a lot!!

- It depends on what your learning style is. Some people do better learning in different ways. I am an auditory learner, and learn best by listening to lectures or discussions. A distance learning program would probably not be the best choice for me. Other people learn better by reading, or by physical demonstrations, and so on. VARK is a good indicator test to find out what your learning strengths are and if that is a good fit for you. Hope this helps :)
- Only do it if you have to! It's only for SOME classes, yes? Plz say yes. You'll be much less involved than you would be in an actual class, unable to really talk to your teacher & peers. It's a lot easier to procrastinate and forget things. I did OK in my DL courses, but I didn't feel like I really learned anything. Gool luck!
- Seriously if your computer goes down you don't have access to another one it will set you back. Also if you have certain software on your computer and you have to use another computer that doesn't have the same package that can be a real pain.
- well , in one word. u won't reach ur instructor @ the times u need him easily , u'll contact him but with a large delay
