How useful is an MS from US university by distance learning course?
I have a two year experience and I want to go for a MS in Computer Science in Spring 2009. By that time I will have about 3 years of experience. What is scope of an MS degree via distance learning from some US university? Will I be eligible for campus placements? Is it treated on par with regular course?
Actually I am considering distance education because of financial issues. Please give your suggestions. Thanks.

- Distance learning is not as favored as the traditional method. However, if you go that route, opt for a well-known school with a good reputation and get high high marks.
- Unless you need it for decorative purposes, say because there is a job that specifically requires it, you may be better off just working. If you already have a four-year college degree of any sort, an MS isn't all that helpful except in the circumstances I've mentioned, and in computer science you pretty much learn by doing stuff anyway.
