- You don't say what you studied. Many subjects have a glut of people with doctorates anxious to get teaching jobs. You might get some adjunct work.
- It depends on the subject matter. PhD's are preferred. Some subjects as in education and the medical fields require you to be licensed and have a master's degree.
- No. Online degrees from solely online schools are not well respected in higher education. Other areas of business tend to be more accepting of them. Colleges want you to have classroom experience you can replicate personally to a room full of students - you don't get that with an online program. I would encourage you to look at an online program through an established campus of a university. That way you get the advantage of an online program with some residency requirements, but have a more solid alma mater on your resume.
- The University of Phoenix is a slammer. Do not go there. You are much better off with a high school diploma.
