has anyone ever heard of "Groomadog Academy Correspondence School?"?
i have been doing some research online about these so called "distance" learning schools. has anyone tried this particular distance learning school? has anyone, particularly groomers, used any distance learning school and if you have, how would you rate them. Did anyone ever actually become a groomer from one of these types of schools?

- Speaking as a long-time groomer, I do NOT recommend learning to groom by correspondence. It is very much a hands-on thing, you need an instructor right there to demonstrate and to observe your work. Your best bet, if possible, is to apprentice to a top professional groomer. Find the best one you can and offer to work for free in exchange for training. Otherwise try to find a bricks and mortar grooming school, but realize that (although they will tell you different) you will still have LOTS to learn when you are done. After grooming school you will still need lots of training if you want to be really good, but it may make it easier to get your foot in the door of a grooming shop.
- I did the JKL course on line. I then worked with groomers for a year to learn a lot more. The on line classes will get you started, but you will have continue your learning
