Paralegals in the US? Can you help me please!?
I have some questions about becoming a paralegal.
1. should i go for an online masters in paralegal studies since I already have a bachelors degree in psychology?
2. how will i get my first job as a paralegal without any experience?
3. as a paralegal do you have to do mundane things like answer all incoming calls?
4. do you have to work crazy hours all the time or for the most part can you get by on 8-5 type schedule?
5. do you get paid well?
6. I wonder if I would like this career?
35,000 is a really bad salary. cant i earn 100,000?

- You consider interning for the local prosecutors office in your area or a private attorney prior to getting into this field. If you decide to it, your local junior college or university should have a paralegal program. The longest I heard is a two year program and you ger an Associates in Arts degree with your certificate as a paralegal. A good firm will start you at $35,000 a year with no experience and a certificate. Maybe you should register for the course and apply with a private firm as a lagal assistant. Most of the work is doing research on cases and obtaining records from clients or other sources. Good luck.
