What are good online/distance learning schools for gifted kids?

Public Comments

  1. Probably anything. I've never heard of a program designed specifically for gifted kids, so you'd simply find that any of the programs out there will be fine and the student will fly through them.
  2. There are tons of programs. We use stanford epgy for math and soon for english, http://epgy.stanford.edu/. There are also lots of classes through JHU-CTY http://cty.jhu.edu/, and Northwestern CTD, http://www.ctd.northwestern.edu/. Stanford is know for being generous with financial aid. http://www.govhs.org/ this is a gifted virtual school for middle school and high school. http://www.vsg.edu.au/ is a online gifted school from Australia but available worldwide. www.artofproblemsolving.com has math classes for gifted math classes. Check out www.ditd.org, and click on their gt-cybersource for more articles and information on programs.
  3. penn foster or keystone national high
  4. www.flvs.net ONLY for kids in florida
  5. If you are talking about high school aged students, I like the American School of Correspondence or Penn Foster. Both of those good courses.
