- To who?
- If you're asking if you can become a lawyer through correspondance then no. you qualify with a law degree - but to practice law you;ll need to sit the state bar. Only then can you become a practicising lawyer. Good luck and if I;m ever in trouble - I'll call!
- I have never heard of such a thing in america anyway. You have to go to an accredited law school in order to be admitted to any bar. You can get other non-accredited law degrees, but you won't be able to actually practice.
- No. As long as you get the proper education and able to pass the state BAR exam. They are still concidered a valid education.
- Yes. Potential employers aren't likely to place much faith in a correspondence course law degree, although you passed the bar exam. However, you probably will find some employers at the lower end of the pay scale who will only care about you having a license to practice.
- No it doesn't if you are studying with the open university at the end of the degree if you pass you are awarded an licence then you can practice. if you are studying this don't you think you should of found this out yourself.
- Check with the Law Society because it's them who registers you as a lawyer eventually. If it's an LL.B degree you are doing by distant learning then you can practice law because the LL.B is approved by the Law Society. The BA does not qualify you as a solicitor but can lead you into other career paths.
