Please suggest some distance learning courses in Oil Painting/drawing available in India .Reasonably Priced?

I am a total beginner and want to learn Oil Painting as an hobby. Prefer courses in INDIA .

  1. Buy a good book, is cheaper and better than distance courses. I'm a painter myself, and threre are tons of good books and free sites about oil painting. Distance Art courses are just a waste of money.
  2. Agreed, any money spent on online courses is a waste. Try visiting an art website, like http://www.wetcanvas.com , they have lots of articles and tutorials on painting. They also have a forum where you can talk with others about all forms of painting and materials, discuss techniques, ask questions, and so on. Best of all, it's free and there will be people there who can direct you to plenty of other free online resources. Also, there are a number of excellent drawing and painting books available online in pdf form. You will find people discussing them occassionally in the forums or you can ask and someone will direct you to them.
