What kinds of Masters degrees can I get with a Bachelors in Health Care Management? I'm 18 and in April/May of 2007 I'll have an Associates degree if I stay in school a little longer in December 2008 I'll have a Bachelors degree in Health Care Management. I'll only be 20 and I'm trying to get all this school out the way now. What kinds of Masters degrees can I get? Is there anything higher than a Masters that I can earn in this field?
How important is it to look for a "joint" degree program for obtaining two masters degrees? Im very interested in obtaining two masters degrees, one in International Affairs and another in Urban Planning. The 1 school that has a joint degree for these is Columbia in NYC. It might be a little more $$$ than I can afford. There are 5 other schools that are highly regarded in both; Tufts, Harvard, Rutgers, Oregon, and Washington. None of those I would consider "comfort" choices, such as being close to home (Cal Poly SLO) or a city I would love to live in (Texas-Austin). So Im having trouble deciding on where all to apply. Any advice?
What salary should I except with 2 masters degrees? I'm getting 2 masters degrees- one is in social work and one is in public administration. I'm thinking about administrative, development, policy, and program management jobs. I realize it will vary by where I end up finding a job. I know that since I'll be working in the public or nonprofit sector I won't be getting a lot of money....but I really don't want to get completely ripped off!
What Masters degrees can I get with a Bachelors in Marketing? I'll be getting my bachelors degree in marketing in May and I'm looking to get a Masters degree but not too sure I want to get an MBA. I'd like to get a Masters in something other than business to keep more options open but I'm not sure what my options are. Anyone know what other programs (if there are any besides an MBA) that I could get into with my degree?
Whats the difference in the different types of degrees? Masters, Bachelor's, etc? I am wanting to start college after I graduate, and had a question about degrees. Whats the difference between Masters, and Bachelor's, etc? I am guessing Masters is something that you "Master" or study the most? I am wanting to go for several different things, and I was also wondering what is the best thing to do, is there certain classes that I should take no matter, or should I go just for what I had planned on? I am wanting to go for A+ Certification, maybe some networking, web design, graphic arts, and automotive design. Is there is a list somewhere out there telling what kind of jobs you can land with these degrees, how they pay, or a list of classes that there is availible to take? I'm not looking to get rich, just make enough money to be comfortable, and have a decent house and car, and take care of my family when I get married. I've got about 4/5 years before I get married, so while I've got time I'd like to get a good start in life. Thanks!
I have 2 masters degrees, where do I start in journalism? I've written 2 dissertations, I've written for academic publications, I have degrees from 3 countries (2 in Europe, 1 in US... all known universities), and I've lived all over, working on humanitarian issues, even interning with UNDP... my degrees are in international development (human rights, environmental studies, etc). I don't want to write for a small paper on local issues as my experience and interests lie elsewhere, mainly in southeast asia. As such, I would like to work as a freelance or correspondent on political and development issues. Since I just finished graduate school recently, what should I do? I am also willing to work in high risk situations. I lived in 2 countries where coups happened. I generally think my CV makes me qualified for a lot and I can write well, but without working previously as a journalist, what do I do?
Any recommendations for accredited online masters degrees programs? I have a BA in English, but would like to get a Masters in one of the following: Special Ed./Early Ed. Financial aid for Masters degrees through on line college/university? Where is the best place to get financial aid for a Masters degree online? I have not used any Strafford loans at all. I have excellent credit and I don't want to have to re-pay my loan until I have completed my program. Any personal reccomendtaions you have would be great! Thank you :) I'm a non traditional student, old, married, so no parent co-sign loans please.
How much should I get paid if I 2 Masters Degrees? If I am a graduate student of Masters in Computer Science (5 years MCS) and Masters in Business Administration (2 years MBA). In your opinion, what salary shoud I have if I was working in the states? You advised me to have years of work experience! The question is what kind of job should look for if I am confused to choose between the Business domain and the Programming field! Which domain you suggest that I work in and which is the better paid? For me, I like more the business field... but I was trying to see if i can find a better paid job with 2 Masters degrees! Can Any1 direct me to salary/income info for various Economics masters degrees (dev/mi(/a)cro/i.o./metrix/etc? I could not find any salary information for various Economics Masters degrees. For example, earnings difference between those with a Masters degree in: Development Economics, Econometrics Industrial Organization International Economics Labor Economics Macroeconomics Microeconomics and Public Finance. Why are MBA tuition costs so much higher than other Masters degrees? When viewing the Berkeley, UCSD, and UCLA websites, it becomes obvious that the fees associated with acquiring an MBA are substantially higher than other majors (but not all). Why is this? For example, the Berkeley iSchool fees approach 10k flat, while the MBA is about 30k (32k @ UCLA). I was just curious about this gap and why it was about 3x as much across the board.
I have a lot of questions about Masters Degrees? How and why did you choose your field of study? Those with Liberal Studies / Arts degrees- has it enhanced your career, personal growth? Do you wish you had chosen another-more 'serious' degree? Was pursuing a higher degree at all worth it?

May I have some recommendations for good quality life experience masters degrees that come with transcripts? I realize the down-side to a life experience degree, but I find myself in need of an advanced degree for a job I am already doing in a foreign country (and have been doing for several years)...and I am completely unwilling to spend the money or effort on a traditional type of program. I need something within a few months. The diploma itself needs to look good. I need transcripts and the ability to have diploma and transcripts verified at least by mail (a fee would be expected). I would like to find a company/school that didn't blatantly advertise life experience degrees and had, as close as possible, the appearance of a traditional distance learning university or a brick and mortar school. In other words, I want it to be as close to a traditional degree as possible. I am more concerned with quality than expense. Thank you very much to anyone who offers an opinion...especially if you have personal experience with the company/school you recommend.
Are online masters degrees worth it? I am about to graduate with a BS in Engineering Management, Information Systems and a BS in Mathematics. I am really interested in entrepreneurship and want to eventually go to graduate school. However, considering this day and age, I'd really like to customize my schedule and possibly take online classes to complete an online masters degree, but I'm not sure if its worth it. I am afraid that it will be looked down upon by future employers. Is this true? Help!
will earning 2 masters degrees make me more valuable for a career in student affairs/higher education? I am completing a masters in post secondary education now but i didnt have any graduate assistanships or internships because it was distance learning. I feel that I should go back and earn a second degree in student affairs counceling to be able to secure a entry level higher education job after graduation. The second degree includes two internships and a graduate assistanship. Also I could become certified as a councelor, which is something my first masters doesnt offer. What do you think, does it really matter about the graduate experience or will my related experiences in undergrad plus my first masters be enough to secure an entry level job in student affairs?
Which Masters degrees should I pursue? A Masters in Management with a concentration in International Management or a Masters in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Systems Management? I wouldn't mind working in either field but which would yeild better results? Which has a better reputation? Thanks.

Then eventually I would like to work at a college/university as an advisor or program director. Which masters degree would be most beneficial for this? I have considered a masters in school counseling. Should I look more into other degrees, like educational psychology or higher education?

Online Masters Degrees or Teaching Credentials? Do you know of any online universities that offer a Masters Degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education with or without teaching credentials? I realize the student teaching component would have to be completed in a classroom. I received all 4 of my previous degrees on campus. I am still deciding if I want or need to pursue a credential at this time. I am looking for my next endeavor to be online due to my disability. It meets my needs better. I have websites for University of Phoenix, National University, Mount St. Mary's and Grand Canyon University. It is hard to find course and program descriptions. I would like specific answers from knowlege or experience. Thanks!

Masters Degrees in Canada? Hi... I'm interested in hearing from people who have taken a masters or doctoral degree in Canada [I'm considering history or Canadian studies]... how is this generally funded? I've heard it's quite a bit different than undergrad in that there are work options and research grants, more scholarships, etc. I need to know if I will be able to make enough doing my graduate work to not have to do other work outside of school but still "balance the books"... i.e. just be able to focus on studying and study-related stuff. Thanks for your help!!
I have a question about transfering schools and masters degrees......? Right now, I am a junior in high school/freshman in college. I was accepted into a special program in which I take all college courses, but they go towards my high school diploma. I live on campus and everything, so its just like im a regular college student. When i graduate "high school" i will technically be just finishing my sophomore year in college. However, when i apply to the real "college" of my choice, I have to apply as an incoming freshman since i will have technically just graduated high school. Then, at the start of the second semester, I will be considered a junior. So, I am thinking about a degree in accounting, and I am definitely going for my masters. Is it advisable to stay at the school that I recieve my bachelors from? or is it ok to transfer for my masters?? Also, if any of you have advice for accounting, I would loveee the help :)
Are non-American graduate Ii.e. Masters) degrees recognized and/or respected in the US? I'm looking for an overseas graduate experience after having graduated from a pretty well-known and respected university in the US. I'm worried, however, that a degree from outside the US simply won't command respect. I can almost picture future employers glossing over my CV/resume and saying 'hmmm, I never heard of this school. Next...' Furthermore, I've always dreamt of working outside the US. Would going to school abroad at the graduate level (i.e. Master's) improve my chances at all of landing a job overseas? Or am I better off saving the airfare and staying in the US?
'Masters Degrees' - and the like....? I keep getting offers of they Degrees or Certificates via my email address/s. Has anyone ever had anything to do with them, and what's been your experience and any outcome?

Would I be able to get an actual job? Is there anyone who have actually did online degree programs, if so, in what and how is it working out? What schools offer online degrees in Master of Science Occupational Therapy or the MOT? Any REAL feedback would really be appreciated
Does it matter if you have a Masters or just a Bachelors degree if youre a Doctor? I know it matters alot in different careers, but if I earn a bachelors (the minimum degree needed for medical school) and get accepted into medical school and eventually become a Doctor, would it really matter much? I know you'll get higher pay with higher degrees in other careers, but is it the same for Doctors? Other than being more educated, what else could I benefit with a Masters degree as a doctor? I'm thinking about earning a Masters, but i'm not sure if I should do it if the only things I get out of it is a furthered education and more debt.
What type of Masters Degrees' do most CFO have? I guess I should clarify my question a bit more. I am looking at three different masters programs. One is just a regular MBA, the second is a Masters of Science in Risk Management, and the third is a Masters of Accounting. Which would be best for suited for one of my career goals of becoming a CFO? Or does my experience matter more than which masters program I choose?

Master's Degrees in the Northeast? Does anyone know any colleges/universities in the Northeast that have Master's Degrees Programs in Sociology and/or Criminal Justice/Legal Studies/Criminology etc. that don't require recomendation letters?
Yes, I know the school won't be that good. But, I don't have a choice. I graduated college a year ago, and the professors I asked for LOR either didn't remember me at all or wouldn't have been able to write a strong enough letter. My employer isn't an really an opition as I'm working at Cumberland Farms right now, and even if that was an opition most schools require 2-3.
That's part of why I want to get a Masters. 2 Bachelor degrees, honor society, and a 3.5 GPA should've been able to get me something better than Cumberland Farms assistant manager, I could've gotten a job like that as a high school dropout.
Anway, back to my question are there any colleges/universities in the Northeast that offer Masters degrees in the aforemetioned programs? Florida isn't the northeast, and community colleges don't have masters degrees sno. I consider the NE to be RI,CT,MA,ME,VT, & NH.
For teachers with master's degrees did you advance in position if you wanted to and did your pay raise signifi I am guessing that with a bachelor's degree in education you can only teach and maybe move up in position after many, many years. But I have heard that this is different for teachers with masters degrees. I have heard that you can move up to counselor and principal within 2-3 years, plus it is said that if you keep teaching with a master's your pay raises a lot. Is all of this true? And can anyone tell me about the master's degrees in education and the different types and how long it would take? I am asking all of this because I am thinking about majoring in secondary education, but I do not know if I would get a master's degree or not afterward, is it worth it financially? I would appreciate any responses concerning this question and anything about the field of education and advancement in it.
